Safety, in plain language

Your safety belongs in the plan.

A good date leaves room for your pace, your boundaries, and your way home. A small plan can make those choices easier to keep.

Public preview · no live profiles, matching, or monitoring

01

Check in with yourself before you check the plan.

Need help now?

Go to people who can act.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. KindDate and Aria cannot place a call, see your location, or send help.

988 and The Hotline are US resources. If you are elsewhere, use your local emergency number or a trusted local survivor service.

The product roadmap

Safeguards a dating product must earn.

These are the protections KindDate intends to build before it introduces people or hosts their messages. Each one needs working technology, real operations, and evidence behind it.

Planned direction · none are active in this public preview

Photo verification

A selfie-to-profile check intended to help confirm that a person controls the photos they use.

A check, never a guarantee of safety.

Identity and adult-age checks

An additional evidence layer for identity and adult access, with the limits of every badge explained clearly.

Not a background check.

Review before you send

A private pause before language that may be disrespectful, sexual, or pressuring reaches another person.

The sender keeps control of the edit.

Sensitive-image shield

Potentially explicit images blurred by default so the recipient chooses whether they want to reveal them.

Choice before exposure.

Scam and deception signals

Signals for suspicious profile or conversation patterns that can reach a real review path—not an automatic verdict.

Human review must sit behind the signal.

Private voice and video

Consent-based calls without sharing a personal number, with block and report access kept close at hand.

No call without mutual permission.

Share date

A user-triggered way to share the plan, place, and check-in time with one trusted person.

KindDate would not monitor the date.

Block, report and unmatch

Immediate separation paired with traceable review, evidence handling, and a fair appeal path.

The control must work beyond the screen.

Roadmap language describes design intent, not a release promise. Until a safeguard is implemented and independently verified, KindDate will not present it as available protection.

Before a date

Four details. One plan that stays yours.

Planning is not pessimism. It means your next choice is still available if the mood, place, or person changes.

  1. 01

    Tell one person

Share who you are meeting, where you plan to be, and when you expect to check in. Agree on what they should do if they do not hear from you.

  2. 02

    Keep your own way home

Know how you will leave before you arrive. Keep enough battery, money, and access to transportation to change the plan without asking permission.

  3. 03

    Start somewhere public

Choose a familiar, staffed place. You can decide later whether you want more time together; you never need to decide that in advance.

  4. 04

    Choose an exit sentence

A simple “I’m heading home now” is enough. You do not owe a longer explanation, another drink, a ride, or a second location.

A share plan

Give one trusted person enough to notice.

Share the name or profile you have, the place, the time, and how you expect to get home. Choose a check-in time and a short phrase that means “please call me” without needing an explanation.

I’m meeting Sam at 7 at the café on Hill Street. I’ll text by 9. If I send “Can you check the plants?”, please call me.

If someone may monitor your phone or browser, use a safer device when possible and ask a specialist service about digital safety.

US safety-planning resource

During a date

Discomfort does not need to become proof before you leave.

You can change your mind about the plan, the place, touch, alcohol, transport, or how long you stay. A boundary does not require agreement from the other person.

  • 01

They keep negotiating after you say no or slow down.

  • 02

They push for your address, live location, private photos, money, or account details.

  • 03

They try to separate you from friends, staff, transport, or your phone.

  • 04

They use urgency, guilt, threats, affection, or embarrassment to make you act.

Scams and coercion

Care does not ask you to buy urgency.

The US Federal Trade Commission advises never sending money or gifts to an online love interest you have not met in person. Stop and talk to someone you trust when money, secrecy, or sudden pressure enters the story.

01

Money enters the story

An emergency, travel problem, investment opportunity, fee, gift card, wire transfer, or cryptocurrency request is a reason to stop—not a test of care.

02

Meeting never becomes possible

Stories change, video calls fail, details do not match, or every plan to meet is followed by a new crisis.

03

Secrecy and speed replace trust

They want to move off-platform immediately, isolate you from people who might question the story, or rush commitment before facts can catch up.

After something felt wrong

Start with safety, not self-blame.

You are allowed to take the experience seriously even if you are unsure what to call it. Choose the next step that increases support without increasing risk.

  1. 01

    Get somewhere you feel secure

Go to a staffed place, a trusted person, or another location that the other person cannot access. Contact local emergency services if danger is immediate.

  2. 02

    Tell someone what happened

You can share only what feels manageable. A friend, family member, advocate, clinician, or local survivor service can help you think about the next step.

  3. 03

    Preserve what you may need

If it is safe, keep messages, dates, account names, receipts, or screenshots. Do not put yourself at further risk to collect evidence.

Aria’s safety boundary

A reflection tool is not a safety service.

Aria may help you find words. It cannot inspect a situation or take action in the world. When safety is in question, go to a trusted person, specialist service, or emergency responder.

See how Aria works

What Aria can do today

  • Help you put a boundary or check-in into your own words.
  • Help separate what you observed from what you are guessing.
  • Stay clearly identified as AI and keep the decision with you.

What Aria cannot do

  • Verify a person’s identity, run a background check, or know whether someone is safe.
  • See your location, monitor a date, contact a trusted person, or call emergency services.
  • Block, report, investigate, moderate, or provide crisis, legal, or clinical care.

Not live today

Before future introductions

Real safety features have to work off-screen.

KindDate does not currently introduce people or host their messages. If that changes, these are operating gates—not badges or cards we can truthfully show before the systems and people behind them exist.

01

Truthful identity and age states

No badge, verification label, or adult-access claim without an operating method and evidence behind it.

02

Block and report controls

A block must stop contact and discovery; reporting must reach a real review path for both people and content.

03

Human safety operations

Moderation ownership, escalation, evidence handling, appeals, and abuse and fraud playbooks must work beyond the interface.

04

Private-by-design contact

No precise-location exposure, unsafe distance clues, or messaging that bypasses mutual permission and enforceable controls.

The current preview

Clear answers before assumptions.

Does KindDate verify profiles or run background checks?

No. This preview does not host profiles or matching, and it does not verify identities or run background checks. Do not treat the site or Aria as proof that a person is who they say they are.

Can I report or block someone through KindDate?

Not in this preview, because KindDate does not currently host people, matches, or messages. If contact began on another service, use that service’s block and report controls. Contact local emergency services when danger is immediate.

Can Aria tell me if a situation is safe?

No. Aria has only the words you choose to share and cannot inspect the person, place, or circumstances. It can help you slow down and name a concern, but it cannot assess or guarantee safety.

What if I am outside the United States?

Use the emergency number and specialist services where you are. The 988 and National Domestic Violence Hotline resources on this page are US services; they are labeled so they are not mistaken for global coverage.

A KindDate principle

The right pace is the one that leaves you free to say yes, no, or not yet.
