The terms for using KindDate

Who can use KindDate

KindDate is for adults aged 18 or over. By using the preview you confirm that you are 18+ and that you can form a binding agreement where you live. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site.

What KindDate is right now

KindDate is an early public preview. The live feature is Aria, an AI dating coach you can use by text or call to practice conversations out loud, prepare for a date, find clearer words, and reflect afterward. Human profiles, matching, and member-to-member messaging are not available yet. Any reference to “meeting people” describes where KindDate is heading, not a service you can use today.

What Aria is — and is not

Aria is software. She is always identified as AI and is not a real person, a match, a partner, or a companion pretending to be human. Aria offers questions, practice, and perspective; she does not score people, diagnose relationships, or make decisions for you.

Aria is not a substitute for professional help. She is not a therapist, counsellor, lawyer, doctor, or emergency service. Nothing Aria says is professional advice. If you are in crisis or someone may be in danger, contact local emergency services and a trusted person who can be physically present — see Safety.

Your decisions are your own

You are responsible for how you use what you practice with Aria and for the choices you make about dating and meeting people. Aria can help you think and prepare, but the judgement, the words you actually say, and the decisions you make are yours. Please use ordinary care and common sense, especially when meeting anyone in person.

Acceptable use

When using KindDate, you agree not to:

• Use it for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
• Enter another person’s private or sensitive information, or content you do not have the right to share.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or bypass the safeguards, rate limits, or security of the service.
• Use the service to harass, deceive, or endanger anyone, or to generate content that does so.
• Represent Aria’s output as professional advice or as coming from a real person.

We may limit or suspend access to protect people or the service.

Intellectual property

The KindDate name, the Aria name, the site design, text, and graphics are owned by KindDate or its licensors and are protected by law. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial dating preparation. Please do not copy, resell, or present KindDate’s content or brand as your own.

Preview availability and changes

Because this is a preview, features may change, pause, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. Aria depends on third-party AI providers; if they are unavailable, Aria will say so honestly rather than pretend to answer. We may update, add, or discontinue parts of the preview as we build toward a full product.

No warranty

The preview is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise that Aria’s suggestions will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KindDate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the preview, or for decisions you make based on Aria’s coaching. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as KindDate grows — for example when accounts and matching are introduced. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, make them clear on the site. Continuing to use KindDate after an update means you accept the revised terms.

A staffed public contact channel is not published yet, and we would rather say so than list an unwatched inbox. Contact details will be added here before KindDate asks you to rely on them. For now, the Support and Privacy pages answer the most common questions, and you can ask Aria about how the preview works.
